Rights Respecting School Award

The Rights Respecting Schools Award (RRSA) recognises achievement in putting the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) at the heart of a school’s planning, policies, practice and ethos.

A rights-respecting school not only teaches about children’s rights but also models rights and respect in all its relationships: between teachers/adults and pupils, between adults and between pupils.

The 9 new warriors will be leading assemblies throughout 2020-2021 to teach pupils about the UNCRC articles and the work of UNICEF.

The first assembly will be on Thu 19th November by video and will continue like this until it is safe for school pupils to meet for assemblies together.

We are excited about our work to promote Rights Respecting even though much of it is restricted due to Covid regulations.
